FIELD: electric rocket power plants for space vehicles. SUBSTANCE: motor includes anode, neutralizer cathode, magnetic system, accelerating channel and thrust vector control system acting on flow of medium being accelerated by electromagnetic fields which are nonuniform in azimuth, Electrodes mounted at inlet shear of motor channel are located in succession one after another in azimuth. Distance between inner and outer walls of channel increases in zone of acceleration downward in way of flow and changes in azimuth in accordance with position of magnetomotive force sources of outer sections of magnetic system. Number of outer sections of magnetic system is no less than three. Poles of outer sections may be shifted downward in way of flow relative to pole of inner section. Amount of shift does not exceed half distance between inner and outer poles. Change in distance between walls of channel may be achieved through change in profile of outer wall.
