SUBSTANCE: external and internal walls of plasma accelerator are made of electricity conducting material and insulated from other structural members. Magnetic system has at least one source of magnetomotive force and magnetic circuit. External and internal magnetic poles of magnetic circuit form pole-to-pole gap accommodating exit sections of channel wall made of insulating material. Annular channel width in vicinity of insulating inserts of chamber walls is maximum 0.8 of channel width in vicinity of electricity conducting walls. End surfaces of insulating inserts facing gas-distributing anode are located in region where radial magnetic field within channel intensively grows.
