FIELD: medical equipment, in particular, diagnostic X-ray apparatuses for distal examinations. SUBSTANCE: diagnostic X-ray apparatus uses an X-ray tube with a remote anode and elements for decreasing the focus spot, electro-optical transducer consisting of a luminescent screen applied onto the inlet of the optical system, whose output is connected to a high-sensitive picture tube coupled to the data processing and output facilities; the optical system is made in the form of input and output focons similar in shape, installed in mirror reflection and connected through a fiber-optic bundle; the sections of the inlet and outlet of the optical system have the shape of an ellipsoid or circle, whose area exceeds the area of the respective opposite circular sections of the focons. The luminescent screen may be made of a layer of single-crystal phosphor, at least 60 micrometer thick, or of a thin layer of polycristal phosphor, as well as of polycrystal bismuth germanate.
