FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed monitor comprises indicator of optimum position of drop fall transducer. With help of this indicator user must set drop fall transducer in required position in relation to orifice of dropping tube of drop-dispensing bottle by directly placing monitor on drop-dispensing bottle. Next user must make sure, whether drop fall transducer reliably fixes moment of drop fall. Proposed monitor comprises casing, electronic circuit including, enclosed by casing, drop fall transducer and drop fall indicator. There are also provided device for securing monitor on drop-dispensing bottle and indicator of required position of drop fall transducer in relation to dropping tube orifice of drop-dispensing bottle. Said monitor securing device is structurally designed in such manner as to enable fixation of monitor on drop-dispensing bottle in any desired position and to make possible direct observation of drop fall in drop-dispensing bottle. Proposed monitor can be fitted into any existing dropping infusion systems for monitoring liquid administration rate, for calculating other infusion parameters, and for issuing warning signals as soon as prescribed infusion parameters transgress prescribed limits.
