SUBSTANCE: children patients are preliminarily subjected to chronaximetric electrodiagnostics in order to establish optimum parameters of forthcoming treatment, viz. electric current pulse frequency, pulse duration, rheobase, chronaxie, degeneration reaction extent, nervous- muscular system fatigue time, therapeutic session duration, and number of such sessions per treatment course depending of specific degeneration reaction extent. Parameters thus-established are used for electrostimulation of palatal curtain muscles using individually selected (depending on child's age) electric current amperage until painless contractions of soft palate muscles can be observed. Proposed treatment method fully fits into entire picture of physiological processes. Electrostimulation parameters can be strictly individually adapted to specific child. Treatment parameters are optimized. Degeneration reaction extent is reduced or function of nervous-muscular system of soft palate is fully restored. Improved or restored phonation.
