METHOD FOR REMOVING LOWER EYELID COLOBOMA Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting skin along the defect boundary. The incision is continued in the region of median fragment under ciliary edge to lacrimal point. Triangular skin flap is cut out in the region of lateral defect fragment. Circular eye muscle stumps are mobilized and sutured with duplicature formed. The triangular skin flap taken from the lateral fragment is sutured into the skin defect of the internal part of the eyelid. The eyelid is pulled aside towards eyebrow by holding ciliary edge. Conjunctiva is dissected forming two triangular flaps. The flaps are sutured after performing their relative displacement in opposite directions relative to skin cuts. Holding sutures stretching the eyelid are attached to the eyebrow for 4-5 days. EFFECT: prevented recurrence cases. 2 dwg
