SUBSTANCE: when preparing wood material for manufacturing decorative-art and household ware, material is treated with gaseous ammonia-oxygen mixture or in series with gas ammonia and gas oxygen for 10-160 min at 100-180 C and pressure 1-30 atm. Ammonia can be provided by introducing ammonium carbonate or ammonia aqueous solution into wood processing pot. For oxygen treatment, air can be utilized.
