FIELD: woodworking industry, in particular, wood blank modification, can be widely used for modification of wood if invaluable wood species (soft leaf wood species), in particular, birch, asp. SUBSTANCE: wood blanks are first heated for 10 to 120 min up to 190 to 230 deg. C at atmospheric pressure in air medium, then they are seasoned in natural conditions. The method is universal, takes not mush time and can be used for modification of such an invaluable wood species as birch. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 1 tbl
