FIELD: aviation; dead-engine landing of helicopters. SUBSTANCE: method consists in before-landing gliding at minimum gliding speed and maximum rotational speed of main rotors. Ratio of kinetic energy of rotation of main rotors and transmission to kinematic energy of descending helicopter has maximum magnitude. Gliding is effected over steep trajectory. deceleration of helicopter is effected by pull-up of main rotors through increase of collective pitch before touchdown. In course of pull-up of main rotors, angle of inclination of trajectory of helicopter motion does not change practically. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 dwg
