HIGH-CAPACITY CONTAINER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: transportation of containerized and piece cargos by road, sea and river, by rail and by air. SUBSTANCE: high-capacity container has base with floor, door assembly, side and end walls, roof, upper and lower corner fittings. For reducing the time spent for cargo handling the container is provided with cargo-carrying platform made in the form of carriage having rollers engageable with guideways made in container floor, device for locking the platform in traveling position, and with at least one hinged shoe for rolling the platform off and on. For performing cargo handling operations and for inspection of the cargo the platform is rolled off the container by means of a fork-lift truck which insures a free access to the cargo. EFFECT: reduced time spent for handling operations and inspection of cargos. 3 dwg
