FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: seal has flexible member and rubber ring interposed between parts to be sealed. The cross-section of the flexible member is U-shaped. The side parallel walls of the member overlap the rubber ring and are allowed to be pressed to the end face walls of the parts to be sealed with the use of the ring. The intermediate portion of the member, which connects the side walls, is made up as the outer portion of a torus that straddles the ring from outside. The ends of the side walls are provided with projections for engaging the entrance facets on the parts. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 1 dwg
