FIELD: radio engineering; multiple-access duplex communications systems incorporating provision for frequency demultiplexing, processing, and switching of correspondent on board satellite transponder. SUBSTANCE: satellite communications system has N satellite communications stations and satellite transponder functioning to process and handle signals coming from correspondents. Novelty is that each station has, in addition, delay lines and modulo two adder and satellite transponder is provided with N-input and N-output switchboard and K modulo two adders appropriately coupled with remaining units of system. Satellite transponder affords multiplexing signals of ground signal-sending stations in modulo two adders enabling downward transmission of signals from correspondents without increasing total speed. Switchboard enables on-line establishment of duplex telephone communication between any pair of ground stations. Receiving channels of ground stations function to subtract signal delayed for the time of propagation from total signal received. EFFECT: improved speed of interconnected of satellite communications stations and twice as lower rate and band of transponder-station radio link attained without reducing carrying capacity. 2 dwg
