SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding molten metal to crystallizer; introducing consumable wire and withdrawing billet from crystallizer. Wire consumption is set in accordance with dependence: P(w) = K • P(m), where P(w) is weight consumption of wire, kg/min; K is endless coefficient equal to (0.5-5.0) Q 10 10-4; P(m) is weight consumption of metal in crystallizer, kg/min.
