WORKING PROCESS AUTOMATIC CONTROL METHOD Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2090337 C1

FIELD: machining, in particular, automatic cutting process control. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring power W consumed for cutting and average temperature T in cutting zone; determining power W WΦ used for material shear deformation in the process of chipping and temperature T TΦ in conventional shear plane; calculating thermodynamic criterion characterizing cutting power - cutting temperature ratio and similar criterion for conventional shear plane, i.e. shear power - shear zone temperature specific ratio on the basis of obtained data; determining ratio of thermodynamic criterion calculated by total cutting power value to thermodynamic criterion calculated by shear power value, i.e. h = ; comparing obtained value of f with predetermined value; correcting working mode by successive or simultaneous changing of cutting and feed rate in case of deflections. EFFECT: increased efficiency, improved precision and enhanced reliability of process control. 3 dwg, 1 tbl
