CAN FILLING MACHINE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: food industry; fish and meat canning. SUBSTANCE: machine has circular loading hopper, upper carrousel with product conduits and lower carrousel with can displacement devices and product measuring cups arranged coaxially with product conduits , both carrousels being arranged under hopper coaxially with each other. Machine has main and additional gates located at different levels, disk knife for cutting off portions of product and product portion knockout device. Carrousels are mechanically interconnected, upper one being coupled with vibratory motion drive, and lower one, with rotary motion drive. Gate are made in form of bow plates, are secured on base by means of brackets adjustable in vertical direction, and serve for alternately overlapping the measuring cups. Such design of gates makes the machine universal as to size of cans to be filled. Slot is made in wall of each measuring cup to let gate and disk knife pass through. Through slots are made to let pass knockout device. Knockout device is made in form of wedge, bow-shaped in plan, to provide efficient operation.
