TAPE MATERIAL MACHINING DEVICE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; plasma jet spraying of materials on metallic closed Moebius tape. SUBSTANCE: device has housing 1 accommodating feeding and receiving reels 2 and 3, respectively, two drive shafts 4 and 5, roll arrangement consisting of rolls 6 and 7. Plasma generator 10 is mounted above support drum. In process of machining of tape 8 plasma generator moves transversely relative to tape and provides application of coating to tape. Device has tape tension adjuster which serves simultaneously as tape storage. Unit is made in form of two comb-like crossmembers 13 and 14 oriented opposite to each other on combs of which rollers 12 are installed in staggered order. After fitting tape 8 in clearance between rollers, crossmembers 13 and 14 are moved apart and tape is laid storage in zigzag form. EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions of device, facilitated operation, possibility of application of coating to two sides of tape. 5 cl, 2 dwg
