FIELD: manufacture of electrovacuum glass. SUBSTANCE: claimed method comprises reacting barium containing compound solutions and sodium carbonate, subsequently separating barium carbonate precipitate, washing, drying and granulating said precipitate. Prior to drying operation, the barium carbonate precipitate is treated with sodium carbonate solution at 1-15 g/l concentration. The precipitate may be treated at washing stage. The claimed method makes it possible to attain strength of granular barium carbonate as high as 0.7-0.8 kgf when using dilute solutions of initial compounds. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 2 cl
