FIELD: inorganic substances technology. SUBSTANCE: silica gel production waste is dissolved in sodium silicate aqueous solution while grinding waste at temperature above 95 C followed by filtration. Method is distinguished by simplicity of process flowsheet and enables preparing gel-forming solutions with high silicate modulus (M = 3.8 and higher). EFFECT: extended choice of raw material, reduced cost price of product, and increased labor productivity.
