FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: fuel for internal combustion engines is prepared by isomerization of directly distilled gasoline fraction evaporating within 30-160 C at temperature from 300 to 380 C, pressure of 3- 5 MPa and in the presence of zeolite molybdenum and/or nickel-molybdenum catalyst followed by removal of methane and ethane from reaction products. The resulting isomerizate is mixed with directly distilled gasoline fraction in 1:4 to 4:1 ratio. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 2 cl
