FIELD: hydraulic engineering, in particular, anchored dams; applicable in protection (reinforcement) of dam from increasing dynamic water head, dampening of hydraulic impact in tidal, sill and other dams. SUBSTANCE: dam includes rigid cofferdam and relief device located on the side of upper pool and made in form of flexible sheet with floats on the upper edge. Anchor links securing the relief device to river bottom are fastened to lower edge of sheet, and anchor links securing relief device to dam are fastened to upper edge of sheet and arranged over blocks.
