METHOD OF DIAGNOSIS OF RECIPROCATING ENGINE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: diagnosis of reciprocating compressors with oil pumps. SUBSTANCE: technical condition of reciprocating engine is judged by the maximum amplitude of vibratory impulses from friction parts measured during a preset time interval after the engine start till the moment of delivery of lubricant to friction parts. Prior to measurement, gas is sucked off from the engine case to provide a pressure differential sufficient for subsequent blow-down of oil ducts. Lubricant between friction parts is removed by blow-down of oil ducts. Blow-down is carried out until pressure in the case rises at least by 0.1 MPa. Pressure differential in the cylinder outlet connection and case at least 0.2 MPa is created. The beginning of measurement is delayed with respect to the moment of energizing of the engine electric drive by a time sufficient for attenuation of disturbances generated at engine start and acceleration. EFFECT: possibility of diagnosis of reciprocating engines with an oil pimp of any type, enhanced accuracy. 2 cl, 2 dwg
