FIELD: liquid sampling at ecological examinations of water basins. SUBSTANCE: device has a vessel with a male thread fastened on wire rope, cylindrical body with a weight, rod handle and an adapter ring with male and female threads; in the lower part the body is furnished with a tail piece formed by a tapered annular recess, whose end part has a female thread, and the lateral tapered surface has holes for passage of liquid made in the form of inclined through ducts; the vessel is connected to the tail piece through the adapter ring by means of a threaded joint. The device has a float with a hole for the handle and a bush with a tapered-surface seal covering the opening in the tail piece, they are arranged coaxially to the handle and body and aligned with each other; the float with the such is installed for movement along the handle and body. The device uses an additional weight in the form of a ring member furnished with radial rods and having male and female threads, connected to the tail piece and adapter ring by means of a threaded joint.
