FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves the use of diphosphonic acids and their derivatives, in part, vinylidene-1,1-diphosphonic acid and 1,2-dihydroxyethane-1,1-diphosphonic acid that chelate metal ions, mainly at II-IV oxidized states in strong acid medium and water-soluble complexes were formed. After complex formation metallic complex is separated and metal is extracted by decomposition under the mild conditions at heating and/or oxidation, metal releasing and its removing or extraction. As a result, harmless by-side compounds were formed. EFFECT: improved method of extraction and ecology safety. 24 cl, 6 tbl
