FIELD: electromagnetic treatment of substances. SUBSTANCE: invention supposed to find use in biology, medicine, agriculture, and chemical engineering consists in applying dosed electromagnetic field to substance in contact mode in direction of largest dimension. Intensity and frequency of field are controlled depending on dimensions and physical properties of substance in terms of a certain relationship. Such a treatment is applicable to water, various aqueous solutions, and other substances which are sensitive to acquire additional properties providing increase in their activity in biological and chemical processes. Preparations including treated substances exhibit properties missing in non-treated ones. EFFECT: enhanced useful properties of substances.
