FIELD: chemistry of polymers. SUBSTANCE: present invention describes prepolymerized catalyst (1) prepared by prepolymerization of α- olefin and polyene compound using transition metal compound such as catalytic component (A) and catalytic organometal component (B) comprising metal selected from Group I-III metals. Total amount of α-olefin and polyene compound varies from 0.01 to 2000 g per 1 g of transition metal compound such as catalytic component (A). The present invention also describes olefin polymerization catalyst composed of prepolymerized catalyst (I) and catalyst organometal component (II) comprising metal selected from Group I-III metals. The claimed polymerization method is distinguished from the prior art in that olefin polymerization or copolymerization is carried out in the presence of olefin polymerization catalyst. Polymer from olefin of the present invention is α-olefin and polyene copolymer containing olefinic polymer comprising α-olefin and polyene (i)-copolymer.
