FIELD: organic chemistry; production of dyes for anthraquinones. SUBSTANCE: 1,2-dialkoxyanthraquinones having common formula where R is alkyl having 3-9 carbon atoms is prepared by interaction of 1,2-dioxyanthraquinone with alkyl halide which is carried out at 80-110 C in the presence of tetrabutyl ammonium halide or benzyl triethyl ammonium chloride in the medium of 40-50 % aqueous solution of potassium or sodium hydroxide. Thus prepared anthraquinones are suitable for mass dyeing of polyolefin in yellow-lemon color. EFFECT: improved heat resistance of dye. 1 tbl
