FIELD: measurement technology; applicable, particular, in remote measurement of pressure and temperature by one strain gage bridge (transducer) with use of three-line communication. SUBSTANCE: the offered method is based on measuring of current supplied to arm of strain gage bridge, measurement of voltages across terminals of current source and determination of values of pressure and temperature. Additionally measured is voltage across current source, between one wire supplying strain gage bridge and potential wire, and between the other wire supplying strain gage bridge and potential one, and values of pressure and temperature are determined from the offered mathematical relations. The device for embodiment of the offered method has bridge strain transducer (strain gage bridge), communication line and current source. In this case, current source terminals are directly connected with two inputs of multichannel digitizer and via two supplying wires of communication line with supplying arm of strain gage bridge. One of leads of measuring arm of strain gage bridge is connected via the third potential wire of communication line with the third input of multichannel digitizer whose output is connected to microprocessor unit.
