FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: leaf spring has one or several leaves of cross section constant in length placed one on the other. Each leaf has longitudinal trapezoidal groove at side of extension and trapezoidal longitudinal projection at side of compression. Depth of groove is made smaller than and width greater than corresponding dimensions of projection. Depth of groove is equal to 0.05-0.44 of maximum thickness of leaf, width is 0.15-0.45 of leaf width, and ratio of groove width and projection width is within 0.05-0. 07 of leaf width. Sides of groove at smaller base are made at acute angle to neutral axis, angle being smaller than acute angle at smaller base of trapezoidal projection. Cover plate on side pointed to main leaf has projection whose cross section is similar to section of leaf at compression side. Clips are installed with clearance relative to main leaf at extension side. Side sections of each spring leaf in length and width are made in form of equal resistance beam. EFFECT: improved quality of springs. 4 dwg
