PROCESS OF SAMPLING OF WATER CARRYING PLANKTON ORGANISMS AND DEVICE FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: sampling of water under pressure, specifically in pressure water supply systems, in hydraulic power stations, in hydraulic accumulation station, in pump installations. SUBSTANCE: device to take samples of water carrying plankton organisms includes sampling vessel with outlet and inlet holes, water overflow duct joined by means of valve to lower outlet hole of vessel, manometer connected by pipe-line to sampling vessel and water intake duct joined by means of inlet hole to sampling vessel. Vessel is connected to manometer with the aid of three-way cock installed in pipe-line. Water intake duct is located in upper part of sampling vessel. When taking samples of water one fills sampling vessel with volume of water from pressure system. When sampling vessel is filled from pressure system one records pressure, then sample of water is discharged through overflow duct with maintenance of pressure in sampling vessel equal to at least half-value of pressure in pressure system. With draining of sample of water value of pressure in sampling vessel is decreased to value of atmospheric pressure. Before filling of sampling vessel with water it is rinsed thrice as minimum with water. EFFECT: expanded application field. 5 cl, 1 dwg
