FIELD: photographic industry. SUBSTANCE: silver bromide/iodide photographic emulsions with AgI content 3.0 ± 0.1 mol % are manufactured using controlled two-jet emulsifying at constant (3-3.4) pBr value with simultaneously introducing into ammonia-containing water-gelatin solution aqueous silver nitrate solution and KBr/KI- containing aqueous solution, after which solid phase is precipitated and subjected to two-fold dispersing and then chemically sensitized through successively adding sodium thiosulfate, sodium benzenesulfinate, and gold-hydrochloric acid followed by spectral sensitizing. According to invention, once sodium and thiosulfate and gold-hydrochloric acid are added, emulsion is supplemented with sodium iso-butylbenzenethiosulfonate and/or 7-amino-1,3,5- triazacyclo[3,3,1,1,3,7]decane in quantities, respectively, 0.005-0.01 and 1-5 g per 1 mole of silver halide.
