FIELD: stand-by chemical current sources. SUBSTANCE: case 1 accommodates electrochemical cells 2 separated from case by layer of heat-insulating material 3 and series. connected jumpers 8, 9 made of metal foil. Each cell 2 is placed between two pyroheaters 7. Jumpers Q and 9 are folded in two. Heat-accumulating pellet 10 prepared from mixture of 48-58 mass percent of lithium chloride 22-26 mass percent of sodium chloride, and 16-30 mass percent of silicon oxide is placed at ends of bank of cells 2 and inside folded jumper 9. Thermal capacity of heat-accumulating pellet 10 is 71-89% of that of cell 2. EFFECT: improved discharge current density and enlarged operating temperature range. 1 dwg, 5 tbl
