FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, separation of potato and other roots from contaminants. SUBSTANCE: rotational root separator has parallel shafts mounted perpendicular to direction of advancement of harvesting machine, blade disks 2 mounted on shafts in overlapped relationship and united to define sections. Shafts of sections are arranged with increasing space between them. Blades 3 of disks 2 are made from resilient material, with rigidity of blades 3 along separator length reducing in the direction of upper end of separator. EFFECT: increased efficiency in separating roots from contaminants, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 dwg
