METHOD OF LEUKOSIS TREATMENT IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, hematology, pediatrics. SUBSTANCE: method involves the use of the preparation consisting of a mixture of the following extracts: musk deer musk, Eleutherococcus senticosus, Cranoderma japonicum and ginseng (Panax ginseng) roots. Musk from musk deer is treated with distilled water for 20 min at ratio (weight/volume) = 1:(4.5-5.5) at the room temperature followed by distillation off up to colorless condensate obtaining. Cranoderma japonica roots were treated with 65-75% ethanol at ratio (weight/volume) = 1: (1.8-2.2), at 60-95 % for 15-90 min. Liquid phase is separated and concentrated by 15-20-fold. Eleutherococcus senticosus roots were treated with distilled water at ratio (weight/volume) = 1:(2.7-3.3), at 60-95 C for 15-90 min. Liquid phase is separated and concentrated by 20-35-fold. Ginseng roots were treated with distilled water at ratio (weight/volume) = 1: (2.7-3.3), at 60-95 C for 15-90 min. Liquid phase is concentrated and concentrated by 12-20-fold. Plant extracts were combined and 94-96% ethanol is added at ratio (volume/volume) = 1:(4.5-5.5). Mixture is kept at 2-8 C for 18 h, not less, decanted from deposit and supernatant is concentrated by 15-20-fold followed by addition of musk deer musk extract. Then distilled water is added at ratio (0.8-1.2):1 to volume of plant extracts. Mixture is sterilized, kept at 2-10 C for 48 h. Preparation is administrated intramuscularly at dose 1-2 ml, 1-2 times per 24 h or intravenously by drops as 5-10% solution prepared on 5-10% glucose solution.
