FIELD: medicine, more specifically, pediatrics; methods of prophylaxis of infectious diseases, particularly, diphtheria. SUBSTANCE: method consists in increase of titer of diphtheritic antitoxin without additional introduction of diphtheritic antigen. For this purpose, administered to child is carbactin in dose of 0.5-1 g twice a day during the course of 1-2 weeks, aevit in the amount of 0.2 g 1-2 times a week during the course of one month, ascorbic acid one dragee twice a day; aerosol therapy with interferon during the first three days and further on with decoction of matricary every other day for 5-10 min with course including 8-12 procedures; and also vitamin tea containing rose, mountain ash fruits, roots of rodiola and eleutherococcus in the amount of 100 ml a day with treatment course of 2-4 weeks.
