FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method includes supply of combustible gases together with oxidizer to working vessel of casting ladle through its cover, burning of gas mixture and also additional supply at pressure from the side walls of ladle to under cover of oxygen at flow rate of 0.8-1.2 n cu. m/h per ton of ladle capacity. The device for embodiment of the offered method has refractory lining with axial hole, burner, incoming into working hollow of casting ladle, and stand. Made over perimeter of cover are side holes with stationary branch pipes with pipelines installed opposite to the side holes. EFFECT: improved ecological conditions in zone of ladle heating. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
