FIELD: transport engineering; protective devices for window glasses of trucks. SUBSTANCE: window guard has lattice shutters hinge-mounted on body, lock mechanism with detent engaging with shackles secured on cab body. Locking mechanism is made in form of spring-loaded rod mounted on shutters intercoupled by horizontal hinges. Z-shaped shackles have longitudinal slot for detent rod. Length of blind slot in shackle is equal to sum of radii of rod and its head resting on shackle. Windshield shutter is suspended from screw clamps of rocker connected with horizontal hinges installed on cab body. EFFECT: improved protection of window glasses from damage. 4 dwg
