FIELD: railway transport and rail city transport. SUBSTANCE: rotational speed of traction induction motors is measured and obtained values are compared, maximum and minimum values are excluded and remaining values are averaged. Obtained averaged signal is used to control converter plant, in particular, frequency of output voltage of plant. This permits revealing the wheelset which slips or skids and eliminating the troubles. In device implementing the proposed method of control higher and lower frequencies separation units are connected to motor rotational speed sensors in paired steps. Alternative output of units, starting from second step, are connected with corresponding input of summer. EFFECT: enlarged enlarged operating capabilities. 2 cl, 7 dwg
