FIELD: technology for investigation of road machinery working processes. SUBSTANCE: simulation method is based on direct continuous proportioned delivery of loose material at stable cross-sectional area of loose material flow 1 to stationary working member and recording parameters which characterize process of interaction of working member with material. Device for realization of aforesaid method has belt conveyor 6 with drive unit. Stationary mounted above one end of conveyor on suspension 12 is working member 13, and stationary installed above other end of conveyor is bin 16 which is open underneath with loose material 17. At side of working member 13, bin is provided with feeder in the form of vertical gate 18 located across belt conveyor. Lower edge of gate 18 is bevelled and is located at angle relative to surface of belt conveyor 6, thus ensuring differential width of cross-sectional depth of material flow 1 delivered to working member. Depth of material flow is determined by following relation: , where hmax - maximal depth of cross section 2 of material flow 1; hmin - minimal depth of cross section 2 of material flow 1; R - radius of simulated curvilinear movement of machine; B - width of material gathering by working member 13.
