FIELD: mechanical engineering; fuel systems of diesel engines. SUBSTANCE: gear pump is used as fuel injection pump. Delivery space of pump is connected with liquid space of pneumohydraulic accumulator and the latter is connected with nozzle through meter-regulator. Gear pump has pair of engaging gears placed in housing tightly enclosing the gears. Outer profile of gear teeth and inner surface of housing have toroidal surfaces in longitudinal plane with generating centers on axes of rotation of gears. Radii of circumferences forming outer toroidal surface of teeth profile and inner surface of housing are equal to each other with their centers lying in end face plane of gears. Profile of tooth spaces of gears in longitudinal plane has toroidal surfaces. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities, improved reliability. 5 dwg
