ROTARY-PISTON INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2239712 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion piston engines with rotary working members, and it can be used in power engineering industry, as hydraulic motor, or internal combustion engine in road and air vehicle and watercraft. Proposed engine has working and compression sections, rotors, intake and exhaust posts. According to invention, centers of rotation of rotors are displaced relative to centers of working surfaces of housing. Rotors of both sections are arranged in one place of rotation. Working and compression sections are connected through chamber to form fuel air-mixture and prepare mixture for self-ignition. Combustion chamber is made in working section of toroidal surface or rotor in each working chamber formed by toroidal surface of housing and surfaces of adjacent sliders with pistons.

EFFECT: increased economy and improved specific mass-dimensional characteristics of engine.
