FIELD: manufacture of sulfur-sodium storage batteries. SUBSTANCE: alpha-alumina insulating ring is joined with metal current leads and with beta-alumina electrolyte through aluminum gasket with 2-4.5% manganine additive coated with copper layer, 0.5-5 mcm thick; joint is made by diffusion welding within one cycle at residual gas pressure of 1-10 Pa, compression pressure of 0.01-0.08 MPa, and temperature of 610-620 C.
