FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: electric generating channel has series-connected electric generating elements with internal position of fuel enclosed in airtight casing, commutation adapters which connect emitters with collectors of adjacent electric generating elements. Channels connecting the cavities of interelectrode gap and heat-liberating element are provided inside commutation adapter. Metal-ceramic assembly is positioned between adjacent collectors. One of cups of assembly is connected to collector and the other, to commutation adapter. The latter has auxiliary channel which interconnects collector channels. Electric generating channel has electric insulation on internal and external surfaces of airtight casing, end-face repellers of neutrons, and metal-ceramic assembly positioned at one end of electric generating channel. Insulator of metal-ceramic assembly located at the end of electric generating channel and end-face repeller are coupled to each other so that their conjugated surfaces are positioned inside end-face repeller and are coupled to each other tightly. Holes arranged coaxially form passage for cesium vapors. EFFECT: higher reliability and serviceability. 3 cl, 5 dwg
