FIELD: agriculture, tillage of soil with turn-over plows. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing resonance in arable layer by positioning ridges and slots made in involute surface of plow moldboard at equal level and in equally spaced relation one with respect to the other. As a result of collision between moldboard ridges and soil layer, resonant oscillations are developed in arable layer, with amplitude of oscillations growing in direction reverse to plow advancement direction. Intensively oscillating layer of soil is disintegrated or loosened to form pore and cracks, through which moisture and oxidant intensively penetrate into arable soil layer. Ridges and slots made in the form of washing board facilitate contact of soil layer with moldboard surface only over several narrow portions, with number of portions being equal to the number of ridges and width of ridges not exceeding several centimeters. Involute surface of moldboard facilitates oscillations by twisting soil layer along helical line. A number of mechanical forces, such as helical twisting and intensive shaking due to collision between moldboard ridges and soil layer, are applied to soil layer to develop resonance facilitating destruction of soil layer. Such construction allows smooth, furrow-free mellow soil field with structural lumpiness to be provided. Ridges may be made wavy, stepped or may have other configuration.
