FIELD: medicine; nephrology; diagnostics. SUBSTANCE: patient's blood plasma is subjected to analysis by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) method to determine divalent copper concentration in ceruloplasmin. If copper concentration is found to be below 1.3*I0-5 M, terminal renal insufficiency case is diagnosed. EFFECT: method is reliable, cheap, simple and quick to practise, sparing for patient.
