FIELD: medicine, particularly, gastroenterology. SUBSTANCE: method includes taking patient's blood on empty stomach from cubital vein and separation of plasma from erythrocytes; determination of content of bivalent copper by method of electronic paramagnetic resonance in blood plasma and in erythrocytes. In case of increase of level of Cu2+ by three and more times, relative to control valve, acute calculous cholecystitis is diagnosed, and in case of Cu2+ content being within controlled values, aggravation of chronic noncalculous cholecystitis is diagnosed. EFFECT: higher accuracy of differential diagnoses and accelerated examinations. 1 tbl
