FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves examining oral fluid by applying electronic paramagnetic resonance method. Antioxidizing activity of organism is evaluated by means of coefficient of ceruloplasmin/transferrin signal intensity ratio Cp/Tr in oral fluid that corresponds to its information capacity to the moment it achieves diagnostic threshold equal to 17.25. Ceruloplasmin/transferrin signal intensity ratio being less than 17.25, acute odontogenic periosteitis diagnosis is to be set. The value being greater than 17.25, diagnosis of acute odontogenic osteomyelitis aggravated with phlegmon is to be set. EFFECT: enhanced sensitivity of the method; accelerated treatment course. 3 dwg
