FIELD: combination flying vehicles employing aerostatic lift of carrier gas and thrust of power plants; transportation of cargoes. SUBSTANCE: flying vehicle is hovering above cargo, grips it, ballast and carries this cargo. After hovering of flying vehicle above cargo, position of center of mass of flying vehicle and cargo is determined and is compared with achieved magnitudes of deviations of center of mass of flying vehicle and cargo; then center of mass of flying vehicle is shifted till it coincides with axis passing through center of mass of cargo and flying vehicle descends to grip the cargo, after which vertical force is imparted to flying vehicle due to bleeding the gaseous ballast. System for realization of this method includes ballast- type flying vehicle which consists of two dome-shaped envelopes 1 and 2 filled with carrier gas and connected by means of peripheral rigid ring 6 and central strut 4 filled with gaseous ballast. Secured on base of central strut 4 is replaceable platform 10 provided with sensors 13 used for aiming and checking the position of center of mass of flying vehicle, control system unit 12 and nozzle 14 for bleeding the gaseous ballast.
