FIELD: biotechnology, chemical technology, medicinal industry. SUBSTANCE: invention proposes method for preparing dextrans of an average-weight molecular mass 1000 Da. Method involves partial cleavage of high-molecular dextran by acid hydrolysis of its an aqueous solution in the presence of hydrochloric acid at heating. The acidified aqueous solution of high-molecular dextran is passed through strong-cross-linked cationite ion-exchange resins of macroporous structure based on sulfitized copolymers of styrene with divinylbenzene in H+-form, pH = 0.85-1.1, at 85 ± 1 C, at the rate 0.01-0.25 volume/h. EFFECT: improved method of preparing.
