FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: flood-control dam is made up of two barriers located in parallel on ground surface and these barriers are arranged of balloons manufactured of flexible water-proof material. Balloons are interconnected by flexible links and are filled with water, earth or mixture of them. Balloons are provided with valves for their filling. Spaces between balloons are occupied by interconnected weights in the form of concrete blocks, stones, earth, metal structures, sacks with earth or any combination of aforesaid materials.
