FIELD: obtaining air flow in aerodynamic sets. SUBSTANCE: method consists in adiabatically compressing the air by means of piston moving at acceleration in barrel; at moment when piston stops, compressed air is locked and escapes through supersonic nozzle at preset Mach number; at constant volume of air before compressing it, momentary heating is performed. Locking is effected through fixation of piston at end of barrel. Escape of air through supersonic nozzle is effected at Mach number ranging from 10 to 25. Mixture of nitrogen in amount of 15 percent and its oxide in amount of 85 percent is used as equivalent for air. Heating is effected by means of electric discharge at energy of 500 to 23000 kcal. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 cl, 5 dwg
